Sandra Hart BSc (Hons) MBAcC

Founder of Tonic Acupuncture

& Acupuncturist

Hi, I am Sandra; I hold a First Class Honours degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture from Manchester Metropolitan University. I graduated in 2017, it really was a life-changing 4-year course.  I am a full member of The British Acupuncture Council, they are a governing board that regulates my practice, to ensure I uphold a very safe, research-based acupuncture practice. I am fully licensed with the Ribble Valley Borough Council, Preston City Council, and Lancaster City Council for the safe and hygienic practice of acupuncture.

Acupuncture absolutely amazes me, from the patients I have treated, I just awe at the results and effects it produces.

Via some of the patients I have treated, I have seen, eczema and hives vanish, migraines reduce in frequency and severity, PMT, polycystic ovarian syndrome menopausal symptoms improve, and menstrual cycles balance.

I have also seen the pain from Hypermobility syndrome reduce, postural deformities and musculoskeletal conditions corrected, IBS, and diverticulitis symptoms go away. I have also been amazed by the way I have seen skin swellings such as autoimmune conditions, benign growths, or joint swelling from osteoarthritis conditions reduce, during the treatment!

It brings me great pleasure in seeing my patients leave feeling better than when they arrived. Then returning to me the week after with further improvements and generally more energy. Please don't get me wrong, this isn't the case for all of my patients. For some, it will take several sessions before shifts occur. For a very small few, they either stop before the shift happens or we realise that acupuncture isn't for them. Acupuncture can be amazing, but ultimately it is your body doing the healing, so you also need to nourish and rest well between sessions to allow the healing to happnen. This is not, a "take a pill and be a passenger" type of journey. I like to explain what is happening to help you understand and connect with your body. This brings you more control over your body and your health for future years to come.

My favorite quote from a patient has to be from a lady seeing me for her fibromyalgia pain, she just casually said "You didn't tell me there were side effects from acupuncture....my sleep is amazing and I wasn't seeing you for that"

Obviously, each and every person is different, which is why I tailor make and research the correct treatment plan for each patient
